Privacy & Dignity
We protect the identities of donors and recipients in public communications. Nobody should have to sacrifice their dignity to receive help.
The holidays should be a season of hope, not hardship. C.A.R.E. brings our community together to provide meaningful financial relief to individuals and families who need a helping hand.
No public spotlight on families in need. No expectation of recognition. Just thoughtful, confidential financial assistance made possible by people who care.
Community Assistance & Relief Effort (C.A.R.E.) is a Missouri-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to help individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
Our mission is simple: bring together generous people in our community and turn their contributions into direct, meaningful financial assistance for those facing difficult circumstances.
We focus especially on the holiday season, when financial pressure can make an already challenging situation even harder.
Our fundraising goal for the 2026 holiday season.
The progress shown reflects the founder's stated $2,000 commitment, not necessarily funds already received. Public fundraising totals will be updated as donations are verified.
This year, we're setting out to raise at least $10,000 to provide direct financial assistance to individuals and families facing hardship in our community.
Our founder has personally committed $2,000 toward that goal, leaving $8,000 for our community to help raise.
We're keeping fundraising simple: voluntary contributions from individuals, families, and businesses who believe in helping their neighbors.
As C.A.R.E. grows, we hope to expand our reach and increase our annual fundraising goals.
Help Us Reach Our GoalC.A.R.E. is built around a simple, personal approach to helping others, while protecting dignity and respecting the generosity of every donor.
We protect the identities of donors and recipients in public communications. Nobody should have to sacrifice their dignity to receive help.
Potential recipients are identified through referrals from community members, churches, and trusted local organizations.
Referrals are reviewed using established charitable criteria. Assistance decisions are subject to board oversight and available funds.
Our focus is on providing financial assistance that addresses genuine needs, rather than organizing gift or merchandise drives.
We seek to understand each referred family's circumstances and needs before determining appropriate assistance.
Donors can receive updates on how funds were used and the impact created, without publicly identifying those receiving assistance.
Every situation is different. Our process is designed to help us understand real needs and provide meaningful assistance responsibly.
A trusted individual, church, or community organization refers someone experiencing hardship.
We privately connect with the individual or family to understand their circumstances and financial needs.
The request is evaluated through our review process. Approved assistance is provided based on documented need and available resources.
Join us in helping local individuals and families during one of the most financially challenging times of the year. Every contribution brings us closer to our $10,000 goal.
C.A.R.E. is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are generally tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Payments are securely processed through Stripe for online donations.
